Figuring out which palm line is which can be a bit difficult especially when you’re still learning the art of reading palms. A palmistry diagram will become one of your most useful tools in order to locate and identify each of the major lines, minor lines, and mounts on a subject’s palm.
Characteristics of a Palmistry Diagram
Palm reading charts will depict an open palm with all the lines and mounts that you need to identify when doing a reading. This can act as a cheat sheet in case you’re still not that familiar with the different things you have to locate and interpret. Some diagrams are pretty basic and show only the major lines and some minor details. On the other hand, there are also very detailed diagrams that are more useful when you’ve already gained some experience with reading palms.
What You Will See in Different Diagrams
You will see a lot of details on the many different diagrams and palmistry charts. Most of these will depict the basic lines for starters. Take note that not all palmistry charts will have the meaning behind each of the lines and mounts. Each shape, characteristic, and condition of these items of interest will have different meanings. It will take more than a single sheet to figure out what each detail would mean.
At best, a palmistry diagram will at least explain what each mark and line is for and would not dwell on specific meanings given the condition of the mounts and lines. These charts aren’t meant to be all comprehensive. You will need a detailed palmistry reference in order to deduce the many different meanings of the marks on the palm.
The Mounts
It is said that the mounts give insight into a subject’s superconscious expression. The palm is divided into these regions or segments that relates to different corresponding planets. They indicate what challenges one may face and how each of these planetary influences affects the individual. The said mounts are Luna, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Sun, Mercury, Rahu, and Ketu.
The Major Lines
A palmistry diagram will also depict the major lines, or the lines that depict our subconscious expression. These lines reflect how an individual lives, thinks, and feels. The reader can use these lines to deduce both the positive and negative patterns. You basically will have to work with these three major lines in your reading before moving on to the minor lines. The three major lines in a palmistry chart are the life line, head line, and the heart line.
The Minor Lines
After successfully identifying the major lines, you then move on to the minor lines, which represent an individual’s conscious expressions. These lines depict an individual’s creativity, communication, success, and vocation. The said minor lines you need to identify using a palmistry diagram are the Saturn line, Sun line, Mercury line, and the girdle of Venus.
